azeroth survivors mage build

Azeroth Survivors Mage Build

TL;DR

Mage is S-tier on the strength of 6 tagged AOE spells in an 11-spell cloth pool — the widest kit in the file, at 120 HP and 7.5 yd/s. Frostbolt is the opener (12 damage, 1.3s, 1 target, 24 yards, Slow(0.5, 2.5)); Blink teleports 18 yards forward once F unlocks at level 5. Built for push-high waves with six AOE tools, not a plate soak.

  • Opener: Frostbolt — 12 damage every 1.3s at 24 yards, Slow(0.5, 2.5) attached.
  • AOE tags (6): Frost Nova, Arcane Explosion, Blizzard, Flamestrike, Cone of Cold, Blast Wave.
  • Clocks — first boss 2:15, win 15:00. Blink on F: Teleport 18 yards forward. 10s cooldown.

Core combo and skill priority

The run plays itself between levels — casts fire on their own and the draft is the input. Frost Control is the four-spell frame (Blizzard, Frost Nova, Cone of Cold, Blast Wave), drawn from three-card offers weighted toward what you already own: 1.2 for owned-spell upgrades, 1.0 for new class spells, 0.8 for passive upgrades, 0.5 for new passives per the card table. One level-up will not finish the set.

  1. 0–5 min. Open on Frostbolt (12 damage, 1.3s, 1 target, 24 yards, Slow(0.5, 2.5)). Draft Frost Nova (8 damage, 9-yard nova, Root(2.5)) and Blizzard (7 damage over a 7-yard circle for 6s, Slow(0.6, 1.5)) as they appear; Blink arrives at level 5, an 18-yard teleport on a 10s cooldown. First boss lands at 2:15.
  2. Mid run. Cone of Cold (14 damage, 11-yard cone, Slow(0.5, 3.0)) and Blast Wave (18 damage, 8-yard nova, Slow(0.6, 2.0)) finish Frost Control. Keep ranking Frostbolt — its extra targets come from card ranks 3, 5, and 7. Pyroblast waits until the control four are in.
  3. Late run. Give Pyroblast (70 damage, 6s, 30 yards) the last slot once the slows are set; Arcane Explosion and Flamestrike are the fallback AOE tags if a core card never shows. The run closes at 15:00.

Other names in the 11-spell pool, outside Frost Control: Pyroblast (70 damage, 6/s, 6s, 30 yards); Fireball (20 damage, 2.4s, 26 yards); Fire Blast (26 damage, 3.5s, 18 yards); Flamestrike (14 damage, 8s, 20 yards); Arcane Explosion (10 damage, 2.8s, 20 yards); Arcane Missiles (6 damage, 1.9s, 22 yards, 3 targets).

Another named kit is Mage Pyro Burst build.

Pyro Burst kit

Pyroblast is the highest base single-hit spell in the Mage pool (70 damage). Fireball, Fire Blast and Flamestrike share the fire kit. Core cards: Pyroblast, Fireball, Fire Blast, Flamestrike.

What to level first

Take Frostbolt upgrades on sight: the bolt is equipped from spawn, owned-spell ranks carry the 1.2 offer weight, and card ranks 3, 5, and 7 add a target each. A Frost Control card still outranks a stray single-target pick — the four named slows are the build, everything else is filler.

11 pool names against a 6-spell, rank-8 cap means 5 stay home. Lock Blizzard, Frost Nova, Cone of Cold, and Blast Wave first; only then weigh Pyroblast's 70-damage hit or the fire line for the last seats.

Passives draw from the same 10-card pool every class uses — 6 held at rank 5, no mage tree in this snapshot. Blink never shows on a card; it lands at level 5 on the unlock timer.

Mage's kit matchups

The Mage row reads 120 HP, 7.5 yd/s, Frostbolt out to 24 yards, 6 AOE tags — and Blink, a flat 18-yard teleport rather than a speed buff. The table below stacks those extracted rows against four other kits; it is kit data, not a timed ladder.

Bosses start at 2:15 on every map in this file, HP grows x(1+0.75*progress), damage x(1+0.9*progress), and the run ends at 15:00.

How Mage changed in v1

v1 marks this site's data snapshot — Aethus publishes no numbered changelog for it. The Mage rows above come straight from the extracted kit: 11 spells, Frostbolt start, Blink at 5, 120 HP, 7.5 yd/s, 6 tagged AOE. Source commit eb9bbe3 (2026-10-13); the Windows file we extracted is stamped 2026-10-19 18:26 GMT.

If a newer client shows different numbers, the Mage spell table is what the next extraction updates — check it first.

FAQ

What is the best Mage build in Azeroth Survivors?
Frost Control — Blizzard, Frost Nova, Cone of Cold, Blast Wave — is the featured set: four slows and roots from an 11-spell cloth pool on 120 HP, 6 of them tagged AOE. Frostbolt opens every run, Blink unlocks on F at level 5, and Pyro Burst (Pyroblast, Fireball, Fire Blast, Flamestrike) is the second named line.
What should Mage level first?
Frostbolt ranks whenever offered — equipped from the start at 12 damage on a 1.3s cycle out to 24 yards, Slow(0.5, 2.5) attached. Frost Nova (8 damage, 9-yard nova, Root(2.5)) and Blizzard (7 damage, 7-yard ground for 6s) are the next picks, ahead of spare bolts; the cap stops you at six.
When does Mage Blink unlock?
Level 5, like every class's F spell. Blink teleports 18 yards on a 10s cooldown — before it, the kit walks at 7.5 yd/s behind a 24-yard Frostbolt.
Can you play Mage without Blizzard?
Yes — the pool carries 5 more AOE tags (Frost Nova, Arcane Explosion, Flamestrike, Cone of Cold, Blast Wave) plus the Frostbolt opener. Blizzard is Frost Control's ground circle, not a requirement; Pyroblast's 70-damage hit lives on the Pyro Burst side.
