Playing in the browser is the safe option: wow.aethus.pl runs the game in a tab and installs nothing. For the Windows version, use only the official AzerothSurvivorsWindowsNew.rar on wow.aethus.pl (754,921,096 bytes ≈ 755 MB); it has not changed since 2026-10-19 18:26 GMT (checked 2026-11-02). We downloaded the official file on 2026-11-02 and looked up the program inside it, AzerothSurvivors.exe, on VirusTotal: 1 of 69 engines flagged it (Trapmine: Malicious.moderate.ml.score, a machine-learning score, not a named malware family). The risk is everything else: mirrors, re-uploads, and "updated" or "unlocked" builds from other sites. Skip those.

Official tab — no installer
Yes. Official play is a browser tab at wow.aethus.pl. That host names WebGPU and current Chrome, Edge, or Safari. There is no store app and no sign-up in the documented flow. The GitHub rebuild states no server, no login, and no account. If the host is full, the official page says "Too many people are playing!!! Join our Discord or download the game for Windows!!!" Official Discord, linked from wow.aethus.pl: discord.gg/azerothsurvivors.

OutThisLife/azeroth-survivors-re is a from-source local build on an MIT / Apache-2.0 engine. It ships no Blizzard game files. It is not required to play. We do not publish a how-to-run tutorial. After the official tab loads, use how to play. Browser-play notes (WebGPU) are on how to play.

Nothing you download from azeroth-survivors.com is the game — this site does not host the client or the Windows archive. The official Windows file is AzerothSurvivorsWindowsNew.rar on wow.aethus.pl. The public GitHub rebuild is MIT / Apache-2.0 engine source and ships no Blizzard game files.
